Ivana Hadjivanova

Founder

Ivana Hadjivanova is a licensed psychologist, Gestalt psychotherapist, EMDR practitioner and family-systemic counsellor. She holds a degree in Psychology from the Faculty of Philosophy at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje and a Master’s degree in Legal Sciences, specialising in Criminal Law and Criminology.

In 2017, she founded NEOCORTEX – Centre for Psychotherapy, Psychodiagnostics, Training and Education in Skopje. As an external consultant at Acibadem Sistina Clinical Hospital, she participates in multidisciplinary teams providing psychological support and treatment to patients.

In her clinical practice, she applies Gestalt and family-systemic psychotherapy approaches and works with adults, couples and families, as well as children and adolescents. In her work, she creates a safe and trusting therapeutic environment tailored to each client’s individual needs, life circumstances and therapeutic goals.

She is a certified EMDR practitioner specialising in the treatment of psychological trauma. She has also completed training in the ASSYST Method, as well as the EMDR G-TEP and R-TEP protocols. Her additional professional training includes psychodiagnostics, clinical neuropsychology and neuropsychological assessment, child psychodiagnostics, psychological first aid, and EFT- Emotionally focused therapy for couples.

She has extensive experience in the business and corporate sector, where she designs and delivers training programmes in organisational psychology, stress management, emotional intelligence, communication skills, leadership, and personal and professional development.

 

As a lecturer and public speaker, she contributes to the advancement of psychoeducation and greater public awareness of mental health through professional lectures, educational campaigns and public appearances.

Throughout her career, she has established numerous national and international collaborations with institutions and organisations, including the International Organization for Migration – IOM UN, the association EGAL, where she gained experience in providing psychological support to members of the LGBTQ+ community, and the association Life with Challenges, supporting individuals living with rare diseases. As a long-term external consultant for IOM UN, she received training from experts from the University of Cambridge in delivering youth programmes focused on the prevention of violent extremism, integrative complexity, critical thinking and emotional intelligence.

From 2012 to 2020, she worked as a psychologist in the selection process for military pilots serving in the helicopter units of the Army and Police of the Republic of North Macedonia. Her responsibilities included psychological screening and assessment for the selection and training of candidates.

She holds a specialised licence issued by the Chamber of Psychologists of the Republic of North Macedonia to provide psychological services in the field of Health Psychology – Psychotherapy. She is a co-founder and member of the Executive Board of the EMDR North Macedonia Association, a member of the European Association for Gestalt Therapy – EAGT, and a member of MNAGT Contact Skopje.
