Marija Ivanoska is a licensed psychologist and family-systemic counsellor with extensive experience in the field of mental health. As a member of the NEOCORTEX team, she provides psychological counselling, therapeutic support and psychoeducation for children, adolescents, adults and families.

Her approach is integrative and individually tailored, taking into account each client’s personality, life circumstances and specific needs. She creates a warm, safe and confidential environment in which clients can gain a deeper understanding of their emotions, relationships and recurring life patterns, while developing healthier and more effective ways of coping and creating change.

She holds a degree in Psychology and she is completing a training in family-systemic psychotherapy. Her additional professional education includes Transactional Analysis, psychodiagnostics, art therapy, trauma-focused techniques and psychosocial support in crisis situations. She continuously advances her professional knowledge through specialised training, seminars and supervision.

In her practice, she works with anxiety, panic attacks, persistent worry and fears, depressive states, lack of motivation, stress, emotional exhaustion and occupational burnout. She also provides support following traumatic experiences, grief and loss, divorce, relocation, parenthood, major life transitions and other significant personal changes.

Her areas of work also include low self-esteem, negative self-image, perfectionism, self-criticism, psychosomatic difficulties and sleep-related problems, as well as communication difficulties and challenges within partner and family relationships.

Marija has particular experience working with children, adolescents and parents. She provides support with parenting concerns, childhood anxiety, ADHD, behavioural difficulties, emotional regulation and developmental challenges. She has also participated in projects aimed at strengthening parent–child relationships and in developmental programmes for children that incorporate creative, cognitive and emotional techniques.

During her professional career, she worked as a psychologist in a residential care institution for children and young people without parental care, where she gained valuable experience in attachment, emotional security and developmental trauma. She later became involved in fieldwork and projects supporting migrants and survivors of domestic violence, developing substantial experience in crisis intervention and in culturally diverse and uncertain environments.

She also has experience providing psychological support to members of the LGBTQ+ community, particularly in relation to self-acceptance, identity and family relationships. Her work with migrants includes support with adjustment difficulties, feelings of alienation and the psychological consequences of displacement.

Within corporate settings, she has participated in employee mental health support programmes, particularly in industrial organisations, with a focus on stress reduction, burnout prevention and the improvement of psychological well-being. She also has significant experience in online counselling with clients living in different countries and cultural environments.

Marija believes that every person has inherent value, potential and the capacity for change. Her work is grounded in professional integrity, human warmth and a collaborative therapeutic process that helps clients reconnect with themselves, strengthen their personal capacities and create a more meaningful and fulfilling way of living.

She holds a general licence to provide psychological services, issued by the Chamber of Psychologists of the Republic of North Macedonia.
